Your play-off game....sheesh, that's a very very unlucky result. I wouldn't ever expect to lose like that if my team put up the ratings yours does (which it doesn't). It wasn't the change in opponent that cost you the game. It was our old enemy Mr Random.

However, the attendance issue is much simpler. The game didn't sell out precisely because your opponent is a new team with only a few hundred season ticket holders, which you recognised. Again, bad luck.

not so sure.
I think that when a bot team gets a new owner, the team also gets entirely new players.
This may have caused that a tactic that works against a team, suddenly doesn't work, because the players (and probably the team's tactics) have changed.
Also the previous time he played the other team it might have had a low enthousiasm because it CTéd a couple of times before that game...

Mr Random is often the easy explanation for something we can't directly figure out. He will be present, but a lot less than we might think.

They are not your friends; they dispise you. I am the only one you can count on. Trust me.

I'll have to respectfully disagree in this case.

When the gulf in class between teams is as high as it was in this case, the fact that one team is all shiny, new and botified is not a valid or even probable reason for the loss. The question of Focew's teams enthusiasm is another question, but I'd expect his team to win 99 times out of 100 against his opponents, and to lose by 30 points is shocking.

yes, I don't want to fight that point.

I was pointing out that new teams can't be compared by their old teams. So there should not be any comparison with it. Saying that a tactic worked fine first, and then after that team seizes to exist and is replaced with an other saying that he is surprised that the same tactic did not have the same effect was what I didn't agree upon.

It is totaly okay to say it is not normal he lost, he just should not add that he used the same tactic as before against that team, since he actually never played that team before... That is what I tried to point out.

As an other remark I said that Mr Random is used more often than he is responsible for, I didn't mean in this particular case, it was a statement for all of the BB-world. Random is there (and should be!!) , just not as much as many would think (not meaning you or I or anyone in particular, just many. ;) )

They are not your friends; they dispise you. I am the only one you can count on. Trust me.

Ah, I understand, and agree.

I think the take home message for everyone is that each match and each team needs to be assessed and played on its own merits, and not according to an arbitrarily determined system.
