So steals depend on defending. Does inside defence help also?

And you lost me on the second explanation. Can you explain from this match (18101457) why the match ratings are what they are?

Okay I think I get it, just to make sure: in Crumpton's case, his probabilities of making shots were low and therefore the points per 100 is low for PG. Am I right?

If I am, then how is the probability calculated - is it a fixed number dependent on where the shot is taken (inside/outside) and how good the shot taker is at that range (inside/outside scoring+range)?

As a separate qs, if I want to focus on outside scoring as a tactic, what can I do to make sure only my guards and SF take outside shots and not the big forwards?

Alrite, I understand. Shot making is much more dynamic than I thought.

I noticed something else about my game (18101457) that is puzzling me. For the PF position ther points per 100 are quite high, so the avg probability on shots by my PF must have been decent. But if I look at the actual shot conversion by MacDulothe, it is very poor. Is this just a case of bad luck?

probably mostly bad luck.

What I have been wondering is whether or not effort is included in pts per 100? Because a couple of people keep sending me weird shooting results and I keep telling them it was bad luck. But recently I have been thinking that maybe the effort had some impact.
