So, how are we supposed to know if he is actually training and by how much? Can he train another "entire level" or they train but not as much as a whole level?

The first answer might be measuring in an indirect way like DMI vs Salary when knowing the relevant sublevels.

yepm your first thougth was good, and maybe also the normal "training" time as a guess.

My main question here would be to know if we can't see the pop because they actually can't train an entire level (like training until 20.9 but not 21) or they train normally (with potential as a soft cap) but we simply can not see the pop when reaching a new level.

you can see it, because in the past there was an bug that shows the real skill level, when you pput the mouse on it. Hard to explain it, but if you put the mouse on a respectable skill it shows 7(the skill number), but there it shows for example 23 for legendary +3 instead of 20+ like today.

Good one! I didn't know that trick.

I get it, the same is with injuries. The real "expected" time of injury you can only see it by leaving the mouse on it for a few seconds.

OMG; I did not know this trick before; so I tried just now on my starter PG and found out it is actually one week more...

Ouch.. Above logo from MOD; shows my facial expression..

yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift. That is why it is called the "present."

I just tried it on my player and I don't see a difference :S
Do you mean it gives you the exact time left? I.e. in days?
Or it'll say 2.4 weeks instead of 2 weeks or something?

Yesterday on my player; when using mouse arrow on the injured guy; it showed me injury 3 weeks! but as a red text it is stated 2 weeks. But now it is same; both text mentioned the same message. So it is not going to tell you PRECISELY; like in days or hours or in fractions...

ah okay, I checked when it was 2 weeks and they both said 2 weeks, then checked when it was 1 week and they both said 1 week. I must've missed it in between. I'll try again next time my player gets injured.
