I'm currently top of my league. I was wondering if it was worth throwing a few matches to try and finish 3rd or 4th, and to get a better shot at the draft. Or should I just stay at the top (or at least try to) and then ensure home court advantage for PO and not worry about a shitty draft?

Well I've won all of my last 10 or more games, so I haven't had trouble winning. And I've been playing TIE vs them on Normal. So my enthusiasm has been high. And I'm not in the cup. So what do you recommend?

ah okay, cheers, I reckon I might just stick to trying to win my games, I think HCA is probably worth more than a slightly better draft.

The draft is SOOOOOOOOO random I think you would be crazy to throw games to try to move from pick 16 to 12. You will probably end up with the same player anyway. It is not like the NBA where it is clear to everyone who the good players are. Maybe if everyone in a league was spending $40,000 a week on scouting but look at your league averages. I'll bet they are around $10,000 which means most teams are picking half blind.

Sure someone will get a player worth $500,000+ but it is much more likely to be someone picking in the first 10 or so unless you are in a bot league and on the other hand often the best player in the draft is not taken until the second round. It really is random. Look at your leagues draft history. Very informative!

remember that you get higher income when you are the home team in the PO

Last season i was picking 16th yet still ended up with the player i had ranked number one even with mostly human players in my league. I ended up with a 193cm PF with low outside skills which pretty much shows how random the draft can be.
