I did the same some weeks ago. You haven´t lost any information, you have to substitute Data folder of the oldest version, just copying its files into the new Data directory of the new version where you have installed it.

where do you find the security code to be able to log in? and im also guessing that the user part is the team number? could somebody clarify please

in other words can someone tell me where and how to get the details needed to log in

You have to put your Buzzerbeater username, not your team name; mine one is jacobomd.
You need to create the security code for BB applis at Preferences, create acces key and you should have no problem to loggin correctly.

Version 1.03 expires on 20.4.2010. What then? I don't see any newer versions for download. Is development stopped or what?

There is always a new version before the previous one expires. You should take a look before 20-4 to http://www.buzzercontrol.com and see if there is a new version available.
I´ll ask to Gardier, the developer of the appli.

No. This is an incorrect way to update BC.
You can see correct step in download and faq pages of program web. An the correct way is simplier ;-)

There will be a new version before that date. Check faq page of program web to find explanation to version limit.

That´s because i probably installed it in a different directory instead of the same one.
