Interesting idea, never tried it. One thought: it might cause more injuries are your players are forced to play when tired.

It works for me. I do it when I want the minutes distributed and play PATIENT when I want a bench player to get closer to 48 for training purposes.

my whole team stamina is pretty low apart from one guy who loves to get constantly fouled out... so my players interchange frequently whichever formation i play... i also dont have a wildly unbalanced team... ie no standout players... so most again can interchange without affecting team perfomance too much..

my mins so far are always good... as by the scrimmage most starters are on 40-50 max 60 and my reserves may have 10-15 under their belt....

i have yet to notice different tactics influence subs... i would imagine a fast tactic like creates more chances and i guess more fouls so in turn more subs but i couldnt even think about proving or disproving this theory!!

My team's stamina is quite high. That is a major difference, I think.

Try using "strictly follow depth chart" and not put any plaerys as subs or backups. Your starters should all play 48 minutes.

Once I scored a basket that still makes me laugh.

Minutes played. Low stamina will tire and be replaced more often.

then im happy with my current levels as when needed the better players do play 36-42 mins and quite often my top 8 guys all walk away with 30-35 per game...

In my experience this will lead to the substitution of Lucky Fans.

@GrFlur: also without injuries.
