But it requires extra space on the server to store this history. Its kinda of pointless to see the history and people is only concerned about the latest bid so only the highest bid need to be stored.

I think this is a good idea, although I don't think it would be any helpful and quite useless though. So funny to see your post 1-balled, this rating system is crap...

It doesn't require much space, it only needs to remember the bids for players currently on the TL. As soon as a player is bought the information is deleted (or compressed if BBs want to keep it). It allows us to check how many people are interested in a player, whether the owner of the player has been bidding on the player, whether a player selling for a lot of money got there reasonably by increasing bids or 1 person just came along and bid a lot and would indicate cheating.

I'm sure BBs already have a process in place to detect dodgy bids. But really, how useful to you is the data to give you a history? Does it really make a difference to you whether a guy's current bid is the result of 100 small bids of 1k each or just one guy going in there and offering a large offer?

And yes it does take up space. You are not talking about one person but the whole transfer list. And every single bid everyone in the world makes a bid needs to be recorded. I just don't think there is enough benefit gained from something like this to justify the time of the BBs to develop it and also add to the load of the server.
