It's likely others who have the same questions... because those are very good questions which I don't think have difinitive answers, but would be great to hear discussions from some of the more experienced managers.

On the contrary. I think that these questions have definitive answers because they have comparative nature (relative value). It's not like I wanted a precise messure. That would be impossible.

Q1-6: Coach parrot has a good model for predicting ratings, and it's and complex ods/excel fuile so you could see the formulas, but don't forget rating ain't everything especially when they are designed for the old engine and the game is a lot about matchups.

Q7/8: pace is mostly a matter of offense, so look forward for making the right choiche there ;) And a different pace won't affect that much the number of possesions, that the "random factor" grow that big to compensate additional missed shot.

I normally go faster, when i am weaker then the opponent defence because else you could get trouble with the clock because you are looking for a too good shot. But in general i prefer medium to slow pace.

Q9: Still a lot midrange ones, and few outside

Q10: JR is still important, but i prefer players with 20 more Jumpshot then Range

Q11: not much, but if you still have power below the basket, this will affect your overall shooting percenatge because the defence is forced to cover this area also - the match engine is pretty complex ;)

Q12: yes more outside then inside one, lot more ;)

Q13: More IS

PS: the links for the rating tool follows

if you look in the menu there should be a help link, where it is explained but i don't use it that much but i believe it's an tool who give good results especially the rating prediction isn't bad.

All other tools work with formula who follow the developer mind whats important, but Josef analyysed how the engine makes the ratings.
