1 week can be anything from 1 day to 13 days. So if it was 13 days it wouldn't be healed yet.

sure about that? for me it seems logical that over 7 days is 2 weeks... over 14 days 3 weeks etc

Yes I'm sure :) 1 week is 13 days and less, 2 weeks is 20 days and less, 3 weeks is 27 days and less and so on and so forth.
