This has been happening for a while, and is done because it is meant to help games run faster. The money will disappear by the second quarter approximately and will reappear at the end of the game.

It no good to see your promotion in cup by accident and it must be removed or hidden somehow. Same thing with Cup Games/Scrimmages box on Manage My Team page- why I should know in advance before my cup game that next week I'll be playin scrimmages? This is no good!

Well they will try and figure out a way to fix it. But until they can figure out a way without slowing down games, just remember not to check the Manage My Team page before cup games.
