What's next?
The NT made some *huge* strides in the past few years, especially at the guard positions. We now have 3-4 guards (esp. Bronson, Madrid, Medrano) that I consider truly world class, and the comparison to the guys we ran out at the start of season 11 is striking. We had a clear weakness vs the 3-2 defense during qualifying that we largely overcame in Season 12. There was a huge turnover between Seasons 11 and 12, and we were able to get drastically better OD, more scoring everywhere, and a team that can pass as well as just about anyone in the world.

As huge an improvement we saw with our guards, our bigs didn't really progress much. Salary restrictions have really slowed the training of our top bigs, and limited the number of guys coming up to replace them. We've seen more guys in the Wyman mold that have interesting and useful secondaries, but are kind of stuck with about 4 guys with massive inside skills.

And, of course, we should all be pretty excited by what the U21 team did this season under Jelme's guidance. An undefeated run to the finals is incredible, and very promising. In fact, that U21 team has probably 4-5 guys with a legitimate chance to make a big impact on the NT sometime in the next few season, which is a pretty staggering number for a single class.

One of the things I continue to enjoy is seeing the players progress throughout the season. Edju always did a great job of updating the roster and Coco did a good job of updating who popped that week. With such a strong U21 class graduating it will be particularly interesting to keep a log or training camp (as was suggested by Jelme maybe?) of the players who are on the cusp and what our flexibility is. There will always be the gap that players will have to overcome between the U21 and the NT but being able to track and grow interest in these players will be huge.

Another possibility is trying to set up a comp system between our players and the other NT players who's skills we know. For instance, how does Madrid stack up against other SGs, etc. etc. Right now we have them all listed in sequential order in the forum based on when they were discovered but I don't know if you track them any other way.
