Enthusiasm slowly returns back to 5 every day. The further away from 5 it is the faster it drops.

mkay thanks. Last season it was never really above 5 (I only realized crunch time lowered it later in the season :P) also, if your enthusiasm is 8 and you play normal would you play better than if it was 5 and you played normal?

Yes, playing normal with 8 enthusiasm is better than playing normal at 5 enthusiasm.
Playing TIE will increase enthusiasm by 33%. Playing CT will reduce enthusiasm by 50%.
