Now onto the signup. First I want to state that the aim of this PL was to create a fun and friendly league with managers who liked to chat, post on the forums, maybe boast a little bit (SAS, Xerxes...) but get on with a happy rivalry. It was not about pure power. We have no interest in a team that will just come in, dominate, not talk and wreck things for everyone.

Our target is teams from Australian lower division II or upper division III. We will make exceptions but that is our aim.

Obviously our exisiting 16 teams get priority for resigning although we cannot guarantee that they will be in our division I (from now on I will be calling this division A to avoid confusion).

So even if everyone is in we still need 5 more teams, especially 5 more division B teams, so ask around your leagues. Promote our PL. If there are active managers in your league, have a chat to them and see if they are interested. Spread the word. We have ages until the next season starts, about nine weeks I think, but people need to organise their other PL committments so that they can be ready to start at the right time (ahem Possum Pete this means you).

I'm happy to honor that, but seriously, if you are crazy enough to get two years supporter you better frigging play for two years.

How's MVP going to work?

Well no final decision has been made but I vote for you doing it the way you suggested. One interesting thing to do would be to take a round this season and do it too see how different your results are from the ones we currently get.

The odds of anyone getting all 4 prizes are very, very low.

I'm happy to, under a couple of conditions.

1. Neither my team nor player can win me the supporter prize, regardless of standing. I will award the prize to the runner up if it comes to that.

2. One of the admins of the PL audits my decisions to ensure fairness.

3. All discussions related to points awarded stays in the forum. Any bb-mail related bitching will result in me disqualifying the sender from prizes. If there's something on your mind, open it up to discussion for everyone.

Anyway, count me in. But no prizes for me. :)

I'm happy for you to be part of the PL and doing the MVP if it does not involve too much work for you.

I reckon its awesome that you and yodabig are putting your hand up to offer prizes for the PL, its a really kind and generous thing to do especially in an environment where you do not personally know the other members.

The main thing is to get the next PL started as soon as the current one finishes, if it comes to two PL's thats great, if it later turns out to be australia's version of big boys banter, thats even more great.

And with the two different teams, it can even become two different conferences like the big aus 8 and the great aus 8 instead of XBB and iv7. cos im pretty sure further down the track the current members will be relegated or move on to other things. the new members will be like "wait a minute, why am i in XBB when i dont even know what it means."
