I personally wouldn't bother training him because of his low defence levels. However, if you want to train him up then I would get train his outside defence up to proficient and his passing up to strong. But that will take you a long time.

if it was ME, I would train him as he's probably better than some other trainees you can get for cheap. Just bring his OD to Respectable (at least) and you'll have a very decent SG/SF for DIV when you get there. As of right now, he's very flawed with defense but you can fix it while you're still in DV.
