Yeah, shot blocking and other "tall" attributes I think are woven into the training equations. The really tall guy will be able to train at SB faster then the really short guy, but you need to earn the SB skill growth with training. You can't teach a player "height", but he still needs to work on his coordination and ability. A really tall but untrained player won't have timing, etc., and will miss a lot, foul a lot, etc., while even a short player who works hard at timing shots can get his blocks in, maybe not always at the top of an opponents shot, but perhaps on the way up. At 6'-4", Dwyane Wade averaged 1.06 blocks-per-game last season. That's pretty darn good for a guard.
