Actually, the way it is set up now with the Home teams getting 67% of the revenue, combined with all the extra home games playoff teams, get they are fairly compensated. Additionally, if higher seeds that are slated to get 3 or 4 home games in a playoff season, could up their prices even more for those games, they would gain an even further advantage over the teams chasing them. You would end up with a bigger discrepancy between the good/elite teams, and the ones below them.

I think the OP's suggestion/complaint was not so much the distribution of the revenue in the playoff games but more the fact that you can not change ticket prices for the playoffs.

With the ticket price changing date aligned with certain points of the season, the OP probably wants to be able to change his ticket prices right after the season ends and prior to the start of the playoffs

I understand the point of his suggestion....My explanation addresses the fact that the ticket price changes are set the way they are at the times that they are for that reason. If Prices could be changed for the playoffs, it would create a further imbalance between the playoff teams, and the ones who do not make it.
