The Gangsters going from runners-up to missing out on the play-offs altogether? As crazy as it seems your predicition on that may end up coming true because the Big 8 is looking incredibly competitive this season, even more so than last, and that's saying something. The Sweaty Steamers and the Marmots are looking favourites on paper at the moment to battle it out for conference honours, but the Gangsters, XBB and GoldCoastSH could all make a move and go deep into the play-offs.

As for the Great 8, we are certainly the weaker conference. I think the Villains will end up on top, though I will certainly be fighting them hard for it, with the 36rs and the Castros Hawks rounding out the top 4. I think the Flying Ants could finish one or two places higher than 7th though.

Your prediction for the final is looking like a good bet, but I'm going to go with the shock prediction of the Massive Ballers making the finals and being defeated 2-0 by the Sweaty Steamers.

Great writeup Marmots, yes I think you are going to have a top season, but I do worry that it could be 22-0 and out! Again! Read below.

Hey guys, I know nothing about the other new teams so who is your ex-division II team? I also think the Gangsters may take it easy for a lot of the season but I'll bet they make sure they come at least 4th and then explode with a couple of major purchases and try to win it all. So don't undersetimate them, they have some incredible players.

Ricky - from hoping you wont relegate to predicted best, a fantastic journey. Just remember, every single week you must be able to say how you made your team better, winning games isn't enough, you need to be investing in your arena, training like crazy and getting better players.

Well, the Flying Ants taught me for thinking I could rest DeVane a little and for what was a poor offensive strategy choice in hindsight, well done to them. Time to start tanking for the draft picks.

Congrats to the Marmots getting an important early season win in the big game of the round.

Also, yes, that was well done by the Ants. I still think you'll finish top of your conference, though!

I was glad to get away with a win against the Steamers. That was a real danger game but I couldn't afford to CT it with the games I have coming up - my opening games for this season are tough! Real danger game against GoldCoastSH next game, and it's noteworthy that they went TIE last game. I am expecting a CT next game.... better pull out the big guns!

Well, I expect that you'll do a lot better than last, then. Just keep at it and you'll be at the top in no time! If you need any help with mentoring or anything, there's also a guy in the forums who would be more than happy to help you out (zyler). I'd offer too, but I can understand that there is a bit of a conflict of interest there!
