Not necessary. Theres a number of factors that come into play, tactics, enthusiasm, game shape and some teams just match up better then others. You won't really know until you play each other.

Yea and don't discount early season lineups. Some players play their backups and low enthusiasm in certain league games, and use their starters in the cup games. So sometimes you get scores and winners that do not necessarily reflect who the best teams really are.

There could also be a talent disparity between the two conferences. Even the country rankings provided aren't the best indicators of who is best. Other factors are brought into the equation but talent is not always equal between the two conferences
