He was talking about CONCACAF though. It's supposed to rotate between the different confederations or whatever they call them. I think Mexico is the only other CONCACAF nation that could host the World Cup. Canada maybe?

I honestly don't have too big of a problem with Quatar getting it. The World Cup is a good development tool for smaller nations. Quatar is far and away different from South Africa's economic situation, but it's still going to be a powerful incentive to improve infrastructure and set up more tourism and business.

Time zone doesn't really make sense since S. Korea and Japan co-hosted it in 2002.
