Based on the training speed analysis, it doesn't say that JS training for forwards will be 50-50 on JS and IS.

That's one source I've read, but I've also seen a couple guys saying that...

Well I'm sure there are many managers out there who are training JS for forwards. But it'd be unrealistic that JS and IS training will be 50-50. I mean...just think about it. Suppose it takes 2 weeks to get a pop in JS. If it was 50-50, IS will also take 2 weeks to get a pop. If so, why would anybody train for IS alone? It'd be more beneficial to simply train JS for forwards, rather than training IS for Center or C/PF etc.

I've trained my small forwards in their jump shot, and i don't really think its 50-50, i had a level 4 trainer while i was doing this for 3 weeks, for 3 weeks i've trained jump shot for small forwards, it was really wingmen. But i was consitrating on small forwards.

For all 3 weeks at least 2 small forwards improved in jump shot more, and i only had one small forward improve in jump range. I think small forwards improve faster in jump shot than jump range, at least, depending on the level of your trainer and the age and potential of your small forwards. From my experience, small forwards hwo are allstar level or above, improves in jump pretty fast. I just got finished training winmen in jump shot, again mainly small forwarfds, and once again for the 3 consecutive week, a small forward improved in his jump shot, and now its strong.

Hes talking about training jumpshot for fowards. Also potential just acts as a salary cap, nothing else.

its also a way of adding value to ur player lol if u had an all time great 18 year old he'd be worth milliions if you had an 18 super star with 2k higher starting salary he would be worth like a few 100k thats how valuable Potentail is even tho players like that are never taken to thier potentail because who wants to pay 250k+ for 1 player? its just a waste id rather have a deep bench

So what you're saying is that all of them train IS too?

I'd really like to know the proportions here, like 1 IS for every 3 JS pops or something like that

I don't think height affects the rate of JS training.
Also I don't agree with this speed training analysis part, where it says JS for wingmen trains IS in about 7-8 weeks. I've trained it for 10 consequtive weeks last season but never got a pop in IS. If it really does train IS, it must be ridiculously slow (btw the player I was training JS for wingmen last season was 19 year old).
