Then there will be too many awards and it won't mean anything anymore.

If something was going to be implemented, I would like the boxscore to pick an MVP for that match based on whatever criteria the BB want. No trophy or anything, but would be nice to know.

Yeah that would be also good the MVP for boxscore. The daily MVP I had in mind was just a simple list that shows the mvp for each day that there is a game like this:

Game 1: Blah Blah
Game 2: Bloo Bloo
...
Game 22: Heh Heh

Just an honorable thing, nothing special or award. In my league we got someone who always recaps and decides who is the MVP for that day which is fun to observe. If in addition The daily MVP can show stats for that day, it would be cool.

So do you mean that there should be an MVP chosen per league per round of games?
If so, then I think it would be a good implementation, provided no trophies or anything were given out as well.

Yes exactly that, and no trophies or merchandise award, etc... Just would be shown in Player History that he won MVP for that round of game which shouldn't bombard much the list, especially when you compare it to some centers who get every 25+ rebounds most games and their history list is bombared by those list.

Or maybe just player of the week... like how it is in College basketball. (at least the Big 12 has a PotW I think?) But good idea IMO.

I thought about player of the week exactly as you did before I posted this. But in NBA or College Basketball, every team has games scheduled on different days of the week, some have 2 games per week and some as much as 4. So you couldn't really take every single day which is why its best to do player of the week in real life.

But given that BB has all the games in one day or one round of games, to say have the player of the week is like saying, the best player of this round of games and next round of games.

When everyone is playing in the same day, I think it would be much more interesting and would make more sense to see who was the best player in each round of games, and not in a span of 2 round of games.

I agree with Naker. I would love the game to name the MVP for each match. Maybe it would be hard to code but there is already the ratings done so something similar can be created.

I don't think that would be hard to implement, the code could be very similar, if not just part of, to the all star voting

Yep that's what I am thinking. Code for the all star voting or the Season MVP award.

The more I think about it actually, the more I realize this is a great idea because it can be easy to implement.
