Nice pickup, especially since that guy seems to be a center like player. The last player I got for good bargain was from finland and his last name is Ilkka which also has 2 of the letter k like your name :-) Although yours was at better bargain.

that's what you might expect theoretically.

however, I noticed the opposite quite a few times.

many managers probably focus on the next season, and 'think'the same way, so wait until after the deadline to buy cheaper, which creates the opposite effect.

I have a limited pool off examples ofcourse. I guess you BBs can draw nice graphs and get a more global view.

My last example for instance is my SG I just sold.

I put him up for 799k before the deadline. his estimate was 700 to 900k.

When he wasn't sold, I relisted him, which was after the deadline. His estimate had gone from 800 to 970k. So I listed him for 900k. And he got sold...

I think a lot of managers are waiting until after the deadline to look on the TL, because the reasoning is they are cheaper then...

All in all, this is nice, as it will level each other out a little, and cut off peaks and valleys. Bargains can be made at any time I think. One just needs to be lucky.

I for one, feel less lucky, as I now need to look for a new SG, and even though theorethically this is the best period for it, I don't think I'll get one cheaper then at any other time. ;)
At least his wage will be less, as that was the goal of my sale.

They are not your friends; they dispise you. I am the only one you can count on. Trust me.

First of all: this game is cruel. My new guy got injured after 2 minutes of play... (Why does it seem that if a player gets injured during a game, it's always on the 1st quarter?) Still I had a good game - much better I anticipated even with this newbie.

Secondly: I got him prior to the deadline, so he was eligible to play in playoffs. Now I just have to wait to next season to fix his weaknesses.

I've always felt that a player is worth whatever u feel he is. There's no hard and fast rule for prices for a player. Just generally accepted ones that lend towards the TPE, which is a guide anyway. If you feel that you gotten a bargain... then you have.

The only issue arrives when you want to resell the player... and other people don't see your boy as 'quite the bargain' you thought he was.

:)

I don't want to tell you the whole skills set but his IS, ID, RB and SB are all between 9-13. And no, his driving is well above atrocius.

About big mans,SB is a decisive parameter to estabilish the price of a player
SB related to the other main skills is probably too high,my fourth big man has IS ID and Reb=/>9 and has a 15k salary
