he'll never reach his peak, but that's not really a bad thing.

Let me put it that way: if you don't screw up his training, he'll be a NT player. Probably one of the strongest players in the world. Your only worry will be his salary.

His inside skills are nice already, but he is rather short, and his outside skills still need some work. Train his OD, JR and Passing until respectable (for JR/Passing) and sensational (OD). This will take about two seasons. Then you can decide whether to push his inside skills or further improve his outsie skills towards a more outside oriented guy.

then would it be more profitable to sell him after training him for 1 season? or is it better to keep him?

If you are going to train the other guy, then no. This guy will take 2-4 weeks for pops on OD, depending on what level trainer you have. Sell him now before he loses whatever value he has.
