Its only a suggested position and depends on the skillset of a player. Every week the wage of a player is calculated at all 5 positions. The position which has the highest wage becomes the suggested position. There is no penalty for playing someone out of their suggested position.

This why one player is really good, when he can play different positions.

I'll probably post his stats tomorrow, his outside defense is respectable.

I haven't really decided what i want to train this week, but its either going to be inside scoring again, or one on one for gaurds. I want most of my team to be good at scoring inside. So, for two weeks i'll work on inside scoring for centers, i only worked on it once this season.

And then the next two weeks i'll work on one on one to improve my gaurds driving, so they can be good at scoring inside, if that sounds right? The main abilities i'll train this year are; inside scoring, one on one, and one position training passing for point gaurd. I no longer want to be a jump shooting team, i want my team to go for high percentage shots, low post or inside.

By the way, an update on my rookie center Sam Barkly, the one where i posted his stats, last week he got a pop in inside scoring, so his inside shot is strong. Hopefully i can get it up to prominient like my starting center is at now.

Yeah you're right, i think i have good passers now for my division, so i i'll work on centers for the rest of the season. And turn Sam Barkly into a beast. I just had to train passing this season at least once so my players can get some assists and pass the ball to my bigs, but that's done now, so centers for the rest of the season.

One of my starting players was a fairly low potential SF that I have been training as a SG to improve his deficiencies on the outside. He also turned into a PG this week even though he didn't pop in any skills, but I imagine the sublevels in passing were enough to adjust his salary at the PG position to make that happen. I was expecting him to change to a SG first, but in the grand scheme of things it doesn't really matter if he's a SF/SG/PG, other than affecting his meager salary.

My main center trainee is my rookie center, who can play power forward Sam Barkly, and the other one i'm training who also received a pop in inside scoring is my 20 year center Antonio; those two are my main big man trainees, i don't know if i'm going to train another big man. If my rookie big gets good enough, to prominent inside shot this seaosn, i may have him start at power forward alongside my 20 year old center.
