I use number of season ticket holders to calculate prices in new season.

If:

X - number of season ticket holders in previous season
Y - number of season ticket holders in new season
P - price of tickets in previous season
N - price of tickets in new season

And if I consider that price of ticket in previous season was correct (optimal or close to optimal) and I didn't built more seats then in new season I change ticket price to:
N = P * Y/Z
and this price should be correct or close to correct.

In other words if I see that number of ticket holders increased by 15% then I increase prices by 15%.

And we get to see the number of season ticket holders for the new season before the first date for changing the prices? (i.e., 7/30 for the beginning of season 17?)

Yes, I think new number of ticket holders appears on Tuesday or Wednesday (when relegations and promotions are made) and prices must be changed before Saturday, so we have at least 3 days.
