Hi,

I'm sure Charles will be along to answer questions 1 and 3 more thorougly. He has a more in-depth knowledge of basketball, while us Europeans are still struggling with the basics.

All I can say to number 3 is that tactical variations available are the only ones we have for now, and as every team is as sucky as each other, we want the beta test to show up flaws and strengths in the ( fairly broad ) selection we are running. No decision has been made on future tactical enhancements, so we can't promise that every user can have exactly the tactic their favourite ( yup, I'm english ) team uses.

As far as the numbers for skills goes. Yes, it's a whole lot to learn when starting the game - everything is new, the site is different to other pages and the whole shebang takes a while to work out. That's also part of the beauty of the game we're trying to produce. We are also prepared for comments along the lines of "Is megatastic really better than galactinomenal ?". While numbers may be easier to understand, they're also very mechanical and boring.

"Jim Smith played a 5 game today, his team was on the rack. What could he do? Martin Jewells has been in 14 form over the last few games, his passing game has really been 11." is not the sort of thing you would read in a local newspaper and something that we don't want to introduce. Besides, what does 10 mean ? Billy Franks has 10g of rebounding, or is it 10km of rebounding ?

Hope this answers some of your questions.

I'd love to be able to clear all positions. Atm I'm not really sure if I put the players at the right position and I have to check and double check that I have inserted the correct center and so on.
If it would be possible to clear all positions I'd be able to concentrate on one pos at the time.

As far as positioning players goes. I found it useful to give my players numbers for their positions

Point Guards - 10+
Shooting Guards - 20+
Small Forwards - 30+
Power Forwards - 40+
Centers - 50+

It makes my life easier until I know what I'm doing.

Thanks for the tip. I'll try it. (But I have a feeling of that my centers will keep their 50+ numbers for a looong time. =) )

There are times that you might want a player to play all 48 minutes unless he gets injured or fouls out. I wouldn't recommend this, but if you want to do it, the game will let you.

So if I don't have a player listed as a 'Backup' or 'Reserve', he ABSOLUTELY WON'T PLAY? I hope so, because I want a way to guarantee some of these stiffs won't see a minute of floor time, lol.
