1st. Every season, every league, generates completely random players. So D.IV 132 could have 3, 5k MVP, players. While D.1.2, might not have anyone higher then a Superstar in their draft. Its all random. That being said, I would only vest 10k a week on the draft. I'd do the group scout, for 10 points, that will tell you their age and height. After, that I would scout the ones that what I'm looking for, if they have a good starting skills, maybe Interview 1-3 of them.

I did 20K to 40K weekly, but only had two weeks before the Draft. Started with 10 Points, so did Group Scouting with that.

My 1st Rounder is good, picked 7th with some Superstar Potential and good skills at 19 Y/O. My 3rd Rounder made the team and is trainable. The steal was the HOF 18 Y/O I grabbed 24th overall, 2nd Round. Thing is, I only scouted about 14-15 players so either (1) no one else scouted and adjusted upwards the 2nd Rounder I got, (2) there were 23 other players better than him or (3) I didn't scout the guy either and got him in a crap-shoot.

Also, I think the thing about the Draft is Cost Effectiveness. If it takes you $140,000 to find 3 Players in the Draft you need to

(1) have Drafted players that would have cost you $140,000 or more from the TL to build your team with or
(2) have Drafted players that you can sell for $140,000 + Profit so you can do things like buy Vets or Expand Stadium, etc.

I think you're hitting the nail on the head.

I put in $10k a week because I like to at least have an option when it comes to draft time. Also, (off the top of my head) I believe it is the most bang for your buck on a $/point basis.

A lot of people choose to forgo entirely or certainly use a level less than $40k a week or $560k per season. That said, when you do hit the lottery and sell for $1m+ you can really turn your team around.

It is the exact same bang for your buck as the $5k/week option, just with more points every week.[/troll]

Assuming PR stands for "Pooper Rape," I'd direct them to barbed wire fences all day.

Should we brainstorm Hambone VT's next press release? I think it should start with potted meat and end with geraniums somewhere.

And for the love of Zeus, will someone change the title of this thread? It doesn't make a speckle of sense. Try removing the word "trade," for starters.
