Purely speculation, but the site came on for a while last night then went back to updating. I would guess that when it started updating again, it lost the information stored during the time it was working.

When the OP is refering to "last night", I assume he is refering to Australian night so that would be your morning. The site was back up and running (although slow) by last night australian time.
