It's called tanking and sucks for the rest of the teams if they're forfeiting games but it isn't against any rules. A salary floor was put into place to try and discourage teams from going completely down the drain, but apparently this guy doesn't mind the fine he's receiving each week.

Tanking is more or less a valid strategy, although many users understandably do not like it.

Cheating accusations in the forums, on the other hand, are clearly against the rules. If you think someone breaks the rules, use the cheating report tool. You can look for relevant information in the forums and open a thread to discuss a topic on a general level, but never point fingers at others.

In this case it's weird as he is not even training young talents.

I would think it falls under the rules of "integrity" of the game. If you don't have a minimum number of players and have to forfit you should not be making a profit for it. My team sucks this season, maybe I should do the same if it is not against the rules. Easyway to make money, who cares how it effects the game and others, right?

How did the topic title get changed by the way? It was "Is this cheating?"

Not entirely accurate. I believe it was "IS THIS CHEATING?", which I changed to lower case and to better reflect the topic being discussed. Cheating accusations are not ok and given the first post singling out a team I considered it best to not have any cheating stuff in the title. I could have mentioned in my post that I updated the title, sorry about that.

Definitelly it's not cheating as there is no written rule of "integrity" or any similar.
You can play that way if you like it. But if you like tanking way of play I would recommend you not to forfeit the games, but you can buy 3 players and train them. This way you are at once earning money and training young talents you can use as soon as you decide to use saved money.

I believe it's wrong and disrespectful, like when NBA teams try to get better chances in the draft.

It's not cheating, that's ok. The salary floor is a cool add. But I'd punsih the sales of that team harder.

If you have some idea for changes as you think this teams should have even worse conditions you can bring some idea on suggestion forum (22297.1). But unless there is any change implemented there is nothing wrong on this strategy.

We're ok there's nothing wrong, but when you plan a 48min for a player alone and you take only 36 min because of the forfeit, that's a little bit raging and disrespectfull no ?
that's my point of view
