Well, they say high driving leads to more penetrating to the basket and, therefore, to more fouls drawn by the player. Dont really have time to some up with an example right now but...

I searched players who have high driving on the transfer market, but still can't find many players who make many free throws. Maybe it's a weakness of the BB engine.

OK, but I think you could have made it clearer for many of us in the first post, making your free throws is not the same as getting to the free throw line.

The general consensus is that, for a player to create a lot of free throws, he must be dominant offensively against the person assigned to guard him. Overmatched players tend to foul the opposing players more in the act of shooting. But it can happen that it doesn't have to follow that pattern all the time, sometimes they just get random amounts, sometimes too much, or too little without any data we could analyze.

In addition to that theres the "aggressiveness" that every players has. An aggressive player tends to commit more fouls and that'll lead to more FTs for the player he guards.
So many variants --> very difficult to predict any numbers of FTAs.

I agree with this. I think it's a weakness in the engine.
