Problem is at the start of the season he would have easily gone for a fortune, now he is way behind in his training and most top trainers already have their trainees in place and those that don't may look at him and think it is too late for him to ever reach his potential now. Moral of the story, if you are going to not train (you may have trained a lot but for a guy 19 1/2 he doesn't look it) then you must sell right away.

Upon drafting this guy i thought i would develop him into the star of my team. But im starting to think im better off selling him. Can someone please take a look at this player and the rest of my roster and give me some suggestions as to what to do with him? Also any other advice concerning personnel or other aspects of the game is welcome

You can still train him. He's pretty tall so his inside skills will develop pretty fast. I hope you don't have trainer level 1. Also, 1 position train him. After 2,5 seasons of training he can reach these skills:
JS 4 JR 2
OD 1 HAN 1
DRI 2 PAS 4
IS 13 ID 14
REB 14 BLO 8

Just train and don't give up. Even if you later decide you don't want to train him anymore, you can sell his improved version for nice cash :)

I wouldn't sell just yet but I would train him with that as your ultimate goal. His secondary skills are awful that that's what you need at the highest level. Or else you just have a high priced mono-skilled player who's not nearly as good as his salary. But plenty of owners will pay for that with his potential.

I would get his IS, ID and RB up to the 9-10 range and then you'll be surprised how much you will get for him.

I think that's the best he can get from that player.

Also, your quoting is bad because I never said this:
Players like *** have been selling for 500k...

That is a horrible player imo. It is a ~70k moo skilled freak. Sure he will be a good player in the lower leagues. But hes just horrible, cant do anything else then the inside job. Id rather sell him and then buy allstar trainees that are 18 y/o and actually has some guard skills to. Train them in both inside and outside skills and he'll have far better players then the one you just posted.

I agree on this. I just gave advice if he still wants to train his player.

Thanks for the advice. I am going to go ahead and sell him. With the profits Im thinking of buying a quality guard. In my short experience in this game it seems easier to train bigs than guards, particularly with the level 3 trainer i have at the moment. So im thinking the best thing to do is invest in a quality 23-25 yr old guard and develop inside players on my own. Any advice?
