It's a good foundation for a team. I think you are wasting your time training Lo's outside skills when his rebounding in mediocre. He needs better rebounding to contribute at the D.IV level. I do really like the strong handling and passing in a big man though.

Noe and Tunc are both good trainees. I would strongly recommend training them in OD for the remainder of the season (single position) as 2-3 pops in OD will benefit you greatly in D.IV.

Your SFs, while good offensively have the potential to get chewed up defensively.

As I see it you have a bit of a dilemma. You can either focus on guards and live with Lo as your center for now but upgrade him when you get to D.IV, or you can stick with Lo and train up his rebounding for at least half a season and sacrifice the training time of your guards. I would suggest the first option and focus on your guards.

Thanks for the info.

I'm training Lo's outside skills ONLY because at this time I had some training minutes to spare and felt it would help him be a better player for me down the road. I've only trained him maybe 3 weeks all season, and gotten four pops, which I was very pleased with. But normally I just train the three players.

For the rest of this season, I'm going to single-position train Noe/Tunc/Brunner at OD, and at some point train some rebounding for one of the three that I feel is my future SF and get Lo some rebounding pops in the process.

I believe I've got a very, very good chance or promoting after this season, but now I'm thinking I don't really want to promote so I can stay one more season in Div. V and continue my player's training while having some success at the same time.

Go for promoting. I'm in the same situation and how I've hear it the money is tons better then V. plus the 150k bonus. I'm planning to promote then I'm probably going for 5th seed and then demote with a bank account of a champ for some serious account of going for and staying in Division III. play. My main trainee will be 24,25,26 at the time I get to division III. My favorite guard Stephen Yates will be sold and the rest of my aging team will be in a different country getting bad gameshape and have retirement benefits.

The money is definitely better. My team was clearly not even close to being ready for D.IV when I promoted last season; I promoted only because I was in a bot league. I did not get the season ticket holders bonus because I did not win my league; I promoted through bot cleanup because I had a 21-1 record (I lost to the only other human manager, who was in the other conference). Despite that, I still collected the promotion money and pulled $100K+ for the first several weeks and now, despite being in 7th in my conference with a 2-17 record, I'm still making 70K+ a week even though I spend $20K on the draft and my arena is only 58% full. Plus, from being in said bot league I got one awesome trainee (22091670) and one really good trainee (22091651). I'm almost certainly going to get demoted this season, but I got both those guys single-position training, am set to get another decent player in the draft, and have $1.5 million sitting in my account. Not a bad season's work if I do say so myself. Moral of the story: promote if you can even if it's premature; at worst, you can tank, stockpile huge money, AND get a good draft pick. It's kind of boring losing every game, I'll admit, but I'm hopeful it'll be worth it in the long run.

OR you might get lucky (like me) and promote into a relatively weak DIV. I bought 4 big men (SF, PF, C and backup C) for around 800k, which boosted my salaries by around 50k a week. However, due to the extra 25k in attendence, and 25k in merch/tv money, i'm still making 70k a week. just make sure your arena can handle DIV.
