With an outside box and one, 4 of your players play a 2-2 zone, and your player with the best outside defense goes man-to-man against the best outside offensive player from the other team. This is effective for stopping teams with one star player and not much support.

I've been using that the whole season, and I don't even know for what kind of players is it good for.

If you aren't sure about a tactic, use base offense and man to man. Research and the use them, unless you are tanking or like crazy experiments ;)

Box tactics are pretty new and not many managers use them.

On theory yes, actually... I'd go with m2m or 3-2 if the top scorer is a SG.

I've used Outside Box and One in high-stakes games and dominated with it.

Just yesterday, in a match up of 18-2 vs 18-2....... or the two teams tied for first......... and I crushed him 107-60. It's the worst loss this team has ever suffered in about 3 full seasons of play, and this team beat me by 11 earlier this season. So the outside box and one worked very well.

Now, I did use crunch time in this game. I felt like this game was to see who got the #1 seed, so I went for it. So I outplayed him in that regard.

His best player is a $20K guard, so I knew it was his outside game I had to stop.

Also let me add, his star player still scored 24 points on 11 of 28 shooting......... and he was a $10K player, not a $20K like I said above. My bad.

You could have won that game using full court pressure, your team was much better, just compare the ratings! Show another example with a more even match man, that was a one man game ;)

Unfortunately, there are very few evenly matched games for my team. Beating the best teams in my league by 33 and 47 points has been easy because they don't really try to improve their teams.

However, with that said, I lost to the same team earlier this year by 13 points with me using a Man-to-Man Defense. So two examples I do have are Man-to-Man lose by 13, Outside Box And One win by 47 against same team. Both times he used Push The Ball as his offense.
