There´s a simple way to make sure your lineup is set up:

Go to your next scrimmage or private league game, make the lineup you plan for your playoff / playdown game, choose the option "save as default" when submitting the lineup. after saving the changes, your "default" lineup should come in when your playoff game is scheduled. don´t forget to change your attitude setting before the game (the playoff one) if you like to do it, and if you don´t want to play your friendly with the same settings (which you most likely won´t, don´t forget to change THAT lineup aswell (without "save as default" this time).
