With this analysis I want to research the offensive choices players make and what are those choices based on. First I will reveal my theory and try to confirm it by results of analysis.

Theory:

First, GE selects a player for an action. Then that player does something based on tactics, his skills and the player guarding him.

So, GE choice is based on:
- Matchup
- Level of Driving

Then, player's choice is based on:

- Which offensive skill is prevalent (JS, JR, PA, DR, IS)
- Which defensive skill of player, guarding him, is weaker (OD or ID)

Work method:

I select a team. Then I look at team's games from Season 18. I'm looking for games that are not blowouts in either direction and have the same starting five (exceptions are valid, but only on PF/C spot). I take five games from each team as a minimum. If I can't find at least five games with those conditions, I don't use that team as a part of research.

I want to see how many shots are taken on each position, what kind of shots and % of those for each position. When I will find a number out of ordinary (for example, PF taking the most shots), I will look closer at that game and try to find a reason.

Then I'll compare different teams and their results and try to explain why those differences exist. I will try to get the skills of starting five players from each team, participating in research; this will help me a lot in understanding players' offensive choices for Motion.

I'm relying on »play-by-play« text. I'm using Moutlinho's tool, section »Favourites«. I'm grouping offensive skills in these categories:

3-pointers (3P from Straight-on, 3P from the corner, 3P from the Wing, Long three pointer)

Midrange shots (Fade away/Hook shot, Jumper from the Baseline, Jumper from the Foul line, Jumper from the top of the key, Jumper from the Wing)

Inside shots (Dunk, Tip-In, Tough inside shot)

Layups (Driving Layup, Layup)

Passes (not assists, but attempted passes)

The reason I removed Layups from Inside shots is layup is based on Driving skill, while Inside shots are based on, well...Inside shot.
I will try to find at least five games, adequate for the analysis, from these teams:

What exactly does your reply have to do with this thread? Troll? What the f, man? You mean trolling - the exact you are doing now? You have problems dude. You are doing the same with BC Hostivar.
