I know some people can stick to a single training all season such as OD but I don't think it's good to do so. Make sure you rotate your training every 3-4 weeks.
The 5K 6'10 Star, he's a decent guy for you to start out with. He'll be a good tool for you on how to learn proper training in this game. I would suggest though that you really work on his ID (Inside Defense) since Average is ok but could be better. So maybe do 2 ID trainings for the next 2 weeks and switch back to REB for the rest of the season. Your goal for next season should be getting his all his core stats to 10. i.e. Inside Shot, Inside Defense and Rebounding.
As for the 8K 6'2 6th Man, he can hold down a roster spot for quite a while till you find better talent. Also be careful about moving him to SF just yet due to his poor ID. He's probably best suited as your SG for now. He is probably a good #2 trainee but not for long due to his low potential. Your goal for this guy should be getting his IS to 9-10, ID to 8-9 and REB to 8-9. I'm not going real high because he'll cap in the next season or two.
On a side note just remember to get them 48+ minutes a week in the Center position or Power Forward when training REB. And make sure your trainees only play 55-75ish minutes a week to manage their GS.
