My best friend, and the best man at my wedding, His wife is a neuromolecular biology PhD student at Ohio State University, which... has one of the better medical programs in the USA, particularly in that field. She complains regularly of when school will be over, (going at it since Under Graduate in 2002-03 school year). She's racked up a good amount of debt, that if not for her Husband working for the Department of Justice at 80k a year, would be VERY problematic, and they still have a month or 2 where they are paycheck to paycheck. (semester starts where books and etc.)
I have not heard of Lago Linda but I pretty much decided pre-med in 2003, from Biochemistry that I didn't want t pursue that path myself. I can safely tell you, that Stanford, Yale, Princeton, not great medical programs... As you would think based on the school's prestige.
In the end the schooling will be worth it, as when she finishes she looks to make ....easily 500K+ every year until she retires from practical stuff in her 60s-70s, but then she can still do research, and teach at universities until senile/death.
But if she's wishy-washy in terms of indecisiveness... it is something that one has to be FULLY committed too.
