In wo matches we have few rules:

Minutes depend on slots in which player is set in lineup.

Minutes from different slots are accumulated.

player set on starter slot receives 36 minutes
player set on backup slot receives 10 minutes (if he isn't set on starter slot)
player set on backup slot receives 5 minutes (if he is set on starter slot too)
player set on reserve slot receives 2 minutes
player set on bench slot receives 0 minutes

It causes few consequences, for example one player can play 71 minutes in wo match, 48+ is possible only for two (or more) positional training, one player can receive only 43 minutes for one positional training, etc.

Gotta agree that WOs screwing up training minutes is really annoying. I hope this is one of the areas the game designers are looking into as they reevaluate the effects of teams tanking games.

I agree that nothing much can be done to the minutes aspect(maybe bump it up to 45?) but the team that doesn't set a lineup should be SEVERELY penalized and maybe banned for more than 3 offenses. Also, a team should be FORCED to set a default lineup. Rules really need to get stricter..

I suggest a 5-year prison sentence. These thugs need to learn their lesson.

It has been stated multiple times that walkovers are working as intended, the intention being that no game should guarantee 48 minutes to a player with absolute certainty.

I completely understand that logic, but the only way a player doesn't get to play 48 minutes is if he is either injured or fouls out. Both of these scenarios can be accounted for by the actual game simulation. I can see why having blow-out scores can negatively effect the standings (hence to 25-0 score), but I think transferring the actually minutes played might be more appropriate for not penalizing the team that actually showed up to play. Anyways... I can put this in the suggestions forum. I was initially just empathizing with the original poster.

. You're somehow implying that getting 48 minutes at one position is some sort of a reasonable expectation for a game -- it is not.

My trainees get 48 minutes a game at one position all the time, so from my point of view it is somewhat reasonable. Obviously it's not guaranteed due to injuries and foul outs, but it works probably 75% of the time. I still maintain that not having this as a possibility at all in a walk over is a slight penalty.
