For Orlando. Kinda. Maybe. For everyone else involved, it's gold.

And as far as Orlando go, I'm assuming they are attempting to bottom out. Which is honestly a better option than attempting to compete to win 40-42 games and battle for the 7-8 seed.

Absolutely.
There's no way on earth Stern can stop this one. EVERY team has agreed to it, and he can't fall back on being the defacto owner of the Hornets.
Orlando had the opportunity to get the second best center in the league back, and chose to pursue bottoming out and trying to rebuild from the ground up.

But I do hate that guy (Stern).

ORL will tank but the next years draft will be one of the weakest in the recent memory...everyone was hyping Nerlens Noel as the next Davis but he will be happy if he can be half the player that Davis is

I especially feel the Nuggets got a steal of a deal in this trade.

Both Afflalo and Harrington are role players for them. Where Igouldala will be like Ty lawson, having that clear "star" role.

Only, Igoulda, kinda more of a star than Lawson. Still a lot to compliment Iggy with there too. Will they make a finals anytime soon? I doubt it with OKC and LAL as they are... but now they'll be a 2nd round playoff losing team (again, like the Melo & Iverson days)

Course... maybe the Magic know something about his back no one else does?

Iggy is a role player too (but better than those, still is getting paid like a superstar) plus the long jump on the wings...i guess that chandler will be traded soon...

Probably looking to bottom out for the next 3-5+ years, similar to the OKC model. The only problem was the draft picks they got in return were from playoff teams they helped make better. The salary dump was good though.

Sixers and Lakers get the two best centers in the league, but with no long-term commitments (as far as I've read).

Kind of agree about Iguodala's game being in between a role-player and star. Does everything well, but not a dominant scorer who's going to draw the focus of the opposition's defense. In Denver though, seems like a much better fit with the cast of players they already have. Denver upgraded without giving up much, except for taking on his contract, but I duno if they needed that type of player to get them to the next level.

The problems with those draft pics - they are all 'later', and all have some form of protection on them. The salary dump? They didn't even move Turkoglu!

Yeah, the draft picks weren't ideal as mentioned earlier.
I'm guessing Turkoglu wasn't moved, b/c the numbers possibly wouldn't match up, in order for the trade to go through, unless more players were added to the deal.
If they could have shed Hedo's contract in the process too, then even worse for the Magic.

Except as having the primary piece of the entire deal, the Magic could have insisted Hedo moves. Except they didn't.
Amazing that this deal goes off... they deal the best player in it, and they don't get players #2 or #3.
