If you want somebody to play a full 48 minutes, you need to use "Strictly follow depth chart." Still, if you use a blank lineup, they might get substituted out. The safest way to get 48 minutes at one position is to use the following format while dressing exactly 9 players and leaving all others in the "remaining roster".

(Position: Starter, Back-up, Reserve)
PG: Player A, Player E, Player E
SG: Player B, Player F, Player F
SF: Player C, Player G, Player G
PF: Player D, Player H, Player H
C: trainee, trainee, trainee

I've used Let Coach Decide and only put one player in my lineup many times. The result is usually 47 or 48 minutes. You can also try placing the player in the lineup and then choosing Let Coach Pick From Depth Chart.

hi. yeah, I did the same thing in my last PL and it worked out great. both players that I wanted minutes for got them full blown. The one guy would have got all of his except that he fouled out but still ended up with 45 out of 48 minutes. thanks for responding.
