The USA-offsite predictor thinks you'll do best with M2M or 3-2. Since Push will go inside if you give the option, my guess is they'll take it if you go 1-3-1. But if you're more balanced you'll stop them better everywhere and get more rebounds in the process, decreasing their chances. IMHO 1-3-1 is best reserved for a team who always uses RNG or Motion. But I know folks who always play 1-3-1 assuming they can shut down their opponents O Flow and win that way.

(In this sense maybe 1-3-1 is a good tactic against Push, since its weakness is poor offensive flow. But usually push teams have very good shooting to make up for the lack of flow/assists. In that case, shutting off the flow won't make a huge difference, since they'll score even if you're contesting lots of shots.)

A thing to consider when setting up a 1-3-1 zone is that the PF and SF both will need good OD. If they don't have they'll only be a weak link and let many points by them anyway.

Definitely true - and it doesn't take a lot of minutes fora backup with poor OD to get lit up by a sharpshooter, either.
