From the Manual:

Players that are manually fired or released by teams that have been abandoned (gone bot) are put on the transfer list at ten times their salary, with the maximum possible listing price for all players being $1,000,000. If a player can't find a team interested in them at that price, they will begrudgingly accept retirement. However, point guards from botified teams will submit to this procedure only if their salary is higher than $13 000, shooting guards will need to have a salary of $16 000, small forwards $19 000, power forwards $22 000 and centers $25 000. Of course, players fired from active teams only need half of those values to qualify for this procedure. Any players that do not meet these criteria will just retire right away.

so he is a.........PG?

Dead is dead , retired is retired. They retired but not dead yet.

Sometimes, I wish they would have a second chance on the transfer market ... Those retired could be put in a pool, we could search these players. If you're interested in someone, you have to pay the transfer fee first (salary x 10) as a deposit, then that player would be put in the transfer market for 72 hours (BB choose the time to put that player in the market, or randomly). If no one make a higher bid than you, the retired player could be yours.

I remember Michael Jordan was in No. 45 when he came out of retirement. When he came out of retirement at the second time, he played for Washington.

I like that idea. There's a 20 year old PG from the US that has my real name. I'd love to sign him, but I understand why I can't.
