He played a 2-3 against you, and your players took advantage of his bad outside defense.
Additionally, your OD ratings in the boxscore are very high, he missed many shots despite his higher salary players. Your SG and SF killed him and he had a bad day, which would explain his failed attempts to score.

It's obvious he put higher effort into the game seeing as he dominated the 3rd quarter. His stamina could also be really low seeing as he dropped off in the 4th quarter though. Also your HCA really helped a lot.

One other thing (in addition to the posts above) is that your opponent ran an offense that tends to look for outside shots while his three best scoring threats in terms of projected points per 100 shots were the SF, PF and C. I would guess that had the opposing team been running an inside-focused offense, they may have had a lot more success. Combine that with an extremely unfortunate 2-3 defense against your patient and there you go.

Well I guess that clears it up. Anyway, i'd like to know, which offensive tactic would be the best for my SG to shoot less? I mean 32 shots is just absurd, especially when he only made 11....

Not patient. ;)

Patient looks for the best outside shooting matchup and then gets the ball to that player. I imagine that had you started your backup SF (who seemed to shoot a higher percentage) that he might have been the one lofting up all the shots instead. If you want a little more distribution in who takes your shots without focusing on either inside or outside focus, you could run a base offense or push the ball (which is faster pace).
