First of all, it's really surprising and probably not a good thing to see you all of a sudden coming out of the woodwork and hating on the USA (both NT and NBBA top teams) for not being "good enough" as if this were real-life basketball. Chill out, or if you think you can do better, make some constructive suggestions and get involved yourself. Don't complain about it if you're not willing to actively be a part of the solution.

*Disclaimer: I have no personal experience here. This is my understanding from hearing reports from NBBA managers, so it might very well be not entirely correct or even downright wrong. Take it for what it's worth, and NBBA managers feel free to chime in with additions/corrections!*

Here's why it's hard for an NBBA team to win the B3. With one possible exception, most of the NBBA teams have no reputation for being part of multi-account farm teams to provide the cash reserves of some of the past B3 winners (sorry but I know what I see) so they can't supplement their income that way. Also, the NBBA is competitive enough that teams will make little to no weekly profit, so they can't easily build up the huge cash reserves needed to buy and sustain a B3 title-worthy roster. A micro nation D1 team, on the other hand, still has the high weekly income, but does not need to field as expensive a roster every season, so they can build up cash much easier before buying a roster and making a huge B3 run (Venomous Scorpions from Iran is a classic example). And if a micronation team wants to tank to earn even more money before their B3 push, they can demote to D.II and face weak teams while still raking in cash (salary floor notwithstanding), before easily promoting back to the top division when they felt ready. If an NBBA team tanked to D.II, they would have to spend a significant portion of their profits from tanking just to compete in D.II and promote back to the NBBA.

Summary: it takes a lot of cash to buy and support a B3 team for a full season. Even for a micronation team with ideal circumstances, it can take several seasons to earn the money needed (at least the honest way). Top USA leagues are competitive enough that it's hard for a team to legitimately earn that much money and still be competitive enough to earn a B3 bid, and top USA managers are also principled enough not to resort to cheating to earn that money faster.

I 100% agree with you, but you might want to change the accused cheater name to "someone" or the GMs will have to take that insightful post down/delete it.

@coobob

well, looks like your not in the USA NT to be able to help us in tactics/game plans. Even helping the USA scout some of the next prossects (which i do) helps the NT. I didn't ee your scouting list.

I don't see you in NBBA forums suggesting ideas to strengthen the NBBA teams in terms of BBB. I don't see yourself trying to make a push to the NBBA, put yourself in their shoes and you'll find the struggles

Not trying to lash out at ya, but tone it down. Look at the countries in BB. Only other *large* country to win a BBB was Spain. With China, I agree with EBW and Turtle's post.
Either put up or shush up

Haha you're right, there's really no need for that. Edited to remove any specific team names.

You might want to remove his name, and even his league from your post. A GM or even a BB could see this and delete it.

Hmmm tough, I didn't know you scouted cadavers for prosection. I'm assuming that's what prossects are. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prosection

3) The argument "the USA is supposed to be a powerhouse" is faulty. In real life, the USA is a powerhouse because it's (a) richer than most countries and (b) devotes more money to basketball than anyone else. There is nothing corresponding to that in BB.

And all this time here I was thinking that it was because smart businessmen set up shell accounts in Malaysia to buy out the rights to players like Adam Morrison for millions of dollars.

So do you think that any US team will even come close to the B3 title in the next 10 seasons?

Whoa you guys need to chill. I'm not hating at all. Most of the time I'm just joking/being sarcastic. This thread was just a question, not hating at all. I just want to see the US win as it is odd that the US has been completely unsuccessful in the game( other than the U21). But thanks for answering my question.
