Players will start dropping skill levels around age 31-32, slowly at first and faster as he gets older. If you're looking for skill improvement, it's no use training anyone over the age of 26-ish.

I just put like the guard training and I dont mean to train them it still does, and when I put rookies in scrimmages so I can train them it still trains my older guys and it kinda confuses me.

Actually, players are at risk of dropping skills not named stamina from age 33 onward.

Anyone who plays the position you're training at any time throughout the week will be trained no matter what type of game it is, scrimmage, cup or league.

It isn't necessarily a bad thing to train your older players because i think it will slow the rate at which the player declines in the skills you're giving them training

The only thing you should train on older players is Stamina or FT since its training is not really affected by age. Training players over 27 is not really recommended because they train too slow.

As a common instruction - definetly yes.

When you are training top level multiskilled players (nt level), you must also consider training older players, even 29 years old, if there is potential left.
