I love battles for supremacy, and I get it, that is kind of what Private League is for, because you can use your starters for 48 if you want, without fatigue. But this is a combo of a few things that are missing from the game.
Most importantly, providing more than a boring score in your weekly scrim. Yes, I already know you are going to play the three guys who need to make their minutes so they keep theiir game shapes. But win or lose maybe you get to blast some turkey with your scrubs and have some fun.
I know its not for everyone, but unlike being locked in a private league for a bunch of weeks, or your own league, you and five or six of your buds can take on five or six other buds, for some free glory. Maybe you guys win four of the six matches, and you get to say that your group won the day.
In my league, during the inter-league games, we keep track of the count. Reds versus Blues. Who has more W's.
This idea just gives us another day in the week for trash talking! I don't know about you guys, but most of my scrimmages are versus other countries anyway, so I can't even mess around before the game!
This gives the people who like the game, and want a little more, something to do. It makes it more interesting for the folks that are otherwise getting tired of it, and it could spark some good battles. For instance, if I had two easy games on a week, etc.
