I personally don't mind and don't see it as a problem. By narrowing down searches in the TL you don't even have to look at those massively overpriced TL players. If it is for the help of cheating, I don't see many cheaters bidding on 1k players (generally it is the more 4k-9k players). I guess there is really no argument against it, I just don't think it is really necessary.

I get that many people won't care, but it's ultra simple to implement & doesn't harm honest teams.

Actually I've seen a number of $1k scrubs get resold for big money in the past. Some even close to $200k IIRC. Once you're dealing with players who have actual skill it gets harder to determine what's fair. So I stuck to $1k & below guys since no real argument can be make against it.

Anyway, the TL is for the sale of players, right? And according to the game manual, you can get banned for transfers way above market rates. So these crazy listings shouldn't even be allowed in the first place? Gotcha, game manual.

(The same teams listing the same guys over & over again gets annoying too... yeah, i saw that he sucks the first 50 times he was listed for $99 million. those players aren't even rare anymore. now either sell him or don't.

For stop cheating I would recommend a salary*10 maximum starting price and a maximum of 125% of the current price bid each time. If somebody wanted to cheat seriously he should put 5-10-20 consecutive bids which is easy to detect.

If it was a proposal to stop cheating, I'd personally advocate that the starting price on players can't be more than half the purchase price of the player until he's been on the roster for 15 weeks. This doesn't really seem to be the thread to discuss that though - this is more just a special case of trying to remove some really stupid transfer listings.

Well, it's kind of a hybrid thread. So no harm discussing it here.
I was just going after something fairly narrow & super-obvious so that no one could argue against it
