The use of the skill is going to depend on a combination of
a) The position the player is in
b) The offence you have chosen
c) The opposition defense and opposing player.
If you want your guy to play like Kobe - then just play Patient offense. ha..
Ok so driving is what it is. It helps the player Drive! So for an outside player, its his ability to get past the outside defense and into the key.... for an inside player, its his ability to back-down/drive around a defender.
now, depending on the offense you selected, it might be the inside or outside player who utilizes the driving. If your guards are poorer at driving compared to your forwards and you are playing say, low post, then this will probably result in more drives by your forwards.
If your guards are awesome at driving and you are playing say, Look Inside, then you might see a lot more shots from inside the key by your guards.
If a player has equal passing and driving. well... it means that he has the ability to share the ball as well as make his own shot. If driving and passing are equally high, then he has more possibilities when he handles the ball.
