Only the players that are playing minutes in the positions that you are training (in this case SG and SF), will receive the training. Getting players 48 minutes at other positions will keep them in better GS but will not give them any training.

There is no limit on the number of players that are trained. So u could buy players who have minutes at SG/SF and they will also get training.

Normally you'd only get 6 players 48 minutes for Jumpshot (3x 48 minutes x 2 positions) but if you just bought a player who played SG/SF for his previous team he will get training too.
