I've always been a fan of KDB but he's not in there anymore. Unfortunately Brian is about to go bot since his last log in was October 20th.
I know this because he demoted to my conference this year (just in case you guys thought I was some lunatic stalker)

Agreed, if that sad day does happen. It will be the end of an era...

Bullish Mentality are on their way out too. Is that just the nature of the NBBA now? No one seems to hang around and be a fixture.

The NBBA is so competitive that you can't make money to rebuild your team. You have to tank to DII in order to really be able to get some cash. Bullish Mentality will be back.

Bullish Mentality has been up for seasons though. Surely they must have re-tooled while in the NBBA... Do you think you have to entirely devote all your resources to winning the league in order to stay afloat?

Come join the U.S off-site. More people are active and we have great discussion with many people inputting their ideas. We can give you advice on training and the rest of your team. We discus U21/NT, you seem like you be interested in such a thing. You should really give it try. I think you would enjoy it and learn a lot about buzzerbeater.

Thanks Nova, I really appreciate the invite. That sounds awesome.

To Everyone: What are some predictions for the current NBBA teams? Where do you think they'll finish how long will they stay up ?

Does anyone think that in the NBBA who you play home or away during the out of conference play greatly hurts or helps your season?

re-tooling is almost impossible. starters for an NBBA-level team could run $1.5 million, impact players, over $2 million. but with competitive squads having salaries of around $650,000 and above, saving that kind of money is very difficult, and takes a couple of seasons. that money can really only be made if the team is competitive, and each season brings four new hungry teams. many managers take a short cut and buy older players, but after a couple of seasons, the squad is on the downhill slope that comes after 32. forget training players or draftees.

unlike lower leagues, no one here can have a bench deep enough to win against weaker competition (unless the team is tanking). that means a given squad can only play the starters twice a week -- either a Cup game or a league game will be lost. since many teams plan their finances on a deep Cup run, the result is a lot of teams around .500. you really can't look at the standings to gauge the best teams, for many are losing games tactically, but will be ready for a playoff run. that said, HCA is enormously important for the playoffs -- it takes one helluva team to overcome that deficit.

i'm convinced that staying in the NBBA for an extended period of time -- forget about winning championships, just staying here -- requires superior managing ability. and a good bit of luck.

Milwaukee Lethargy was my favorite NBBA team, but they are so mediocre. I'd rather watch Rebecca Black dry hump a dead moose...which you can, at a Milwaukee Lethargy half time show.
